The Law Of Attraction: The Simplicity Of Manifestation

Isn't it strange that we think it's really hard to bring about change when it comes to our lives? We short change ourselves and our creative powers to an incredible degree. You may not think of yourself as a creative person, but that's an error in thinking. We are all constantly creating, whether we're aware of it or not.
Here's a really silly but straight forward example of our power to bring about anything we want. For months, I kept thinking about adopting a kitten. I have an older cat, who just turned ten years old. I thought about this for three or four months. I had this picture in my mind of what she would be like. The kitten had to be female, and I specifically wanted a gray tabby, with short hair. I had her name picked out, "Samantha". About two months ago, I took my older cat to the vet and they had kittens for adoption there. The ones they had were males and I couldn't have that (couldn't bring another male into the household). I left my name with them and my number and they advised they would call if they had any females for adoption.
A couple of weeks later, I received a call from them. A lady with kittens for adoption had contacted them. I asked some questions about the kittens. They gave me her phone number and I called her and went over to see the kittens. And there was my Samantha, absolutely the way I had envisioned her.
Dumb example? Maybe, but think about it. Have you ever told yourself to wake up at a certain time in the morning, and you were able to do it, without an alarm clock? That's the power of your subconscious mind at work, not your conscious mind. It was just that simple.
And you know, I think it's really that simple all the time. We just have to figure out a way to do that to change our lives. To see yourself as being the thing you want to be and having the things you want to have. I brought this up in an earlier article, but try to remember what is was like when you were a kid and you played pretend. I think that's what is required. And you know good and well that when you've been romantically interested in someone, you fantasized about it and in many cases, you did go out with that person just from your desire to do so. You made it happen through your passion. And your desire for anything is what makes it happen.
I'm still working on this in my life, trying to understand that the mechanics of it are not complicated. It's difficult though to see yourself sometimes as being the person you want to be, but you must BE that person to HAVE the things you want to have.

The Law Of Attraction: A Personal Definition Of Prosperity

What does prosperity mean to you? Is it only measured in money or material things? There's nothing particularly wrong with that, but I think it's important to know what it means to you. This is a very personal thing.
It's too easy to allow others to tell us what we should want in our lives. I know that it's been very difficult for me sometimes to understand what I really want as opposed to what others tell me I should want. But to be truly happy, I believe we must do just that. It does require a certain amount of bravery.
Do you really want millions of dollars, or enough money to live securely, knowing you'll always have enough to pay the bills? Having millions may require you to do things you might not want to. And if you have millions, will you be able to handle that kind of responsibility? Sometimes we don't get what we think we want because God knows we can't deal with it without ruining our lives.
So you want to become the kind of person who can deal with it, right? Me too. But why? What will you do when you have that kind of wealth and prosperity? It's important to think about this, because with great power comes great responsibility. I should like to have this kind of responsibility.
However, maybe there are other things that could be considered prosperity. Having wonderful health, with no ills or disease. Having great relationships with God, your mate, your children, your parents. Feeling joy every day. I think it's important that we really define what matters to us, individually. Maybe you don't want to have millions of dollars. You should be able to feel OK about that.
It's important to have a personal definition of prosperity, and not to let others impose their definitions of prosperity on you. Only you know what your mission is on this planet.
I believe this to be true: your thoughts create your life. I heard that phrase from an extremely wealthy internet marketer. And this doesn’t just mean “think positive thoughts” (although, I’m sure that helps to some degree). What it means is that whatever you spend a lot of your time thinking about is what will manifest in your life. Your brain, particularly your subconscious mind, doesn’t differentiate between positive and negative thoughts. It only knows that its job is to create, to manifest, whatever it is you spend your thought energy on. If you spend a lot of time thinking about what you don’t have, your brain will send that out to the universe and you will get more of the same. If you spend your time thinking about what it will be like when you DO have what you want, you’re much more likely to get it. It requires some regular fantasizing on your part. Remember when you were a kid and doing that wasn’t hard at all? That’s exactly the part of your brain you need to use.
But again, you should have your own definition of prosperity. Don’t allow others to tell you what you should want, just because it’s the “ norm”.

The Law Of Attraction: Gratitude

As a beginning student of the Law Of Attraction, I believe this to be true. The most important first step is learning gratitude for what you already have. If you don't feel any gratitude towards God for giving you everything you have right now, why is he/she going to give you even more? Think about it.
We live in a society in the United States that is very wealthy and our standards for "prosperity" are very high. And most industrialized nations are pretty much like us, nowadays. Their citizens, just as we do,have certain expectations about the way life is supposed to be. But there's something many of us don't think about.
We compare our standard of living to only those people in our society. We forget that there are still parts of the world where people don't have indoor plumbing. They don't own cell phones or computers in their homes. None of them own an Xbox or a WII game console. They don't own cars. They can't go buy clothing. They make their own. There's no grocery store for them to go buy food. They grow their own, including livestock.
I suppose my message is this: I try to give thanks to God every day for every wonderful thing I've been blessed with. I know that I live in the richest country in the world and I'm damned lucky to be here.
Step Number One: Thank God every day for the blessings you already have. If you have a roof over your head, food to eat, clothes to wear, and don't have to worry about those things, you've already got more than a lot of people in this world.
